Specifics of working with different categories of people

English is now taught to everyone, from three-year-olds to respectable adults over 50. Each group has its own goals which need to be taken into account when designing the curriculum. For example, parents bring young children, believing that it is easier to learn the language at a young age. Students and young people come to prepare for exams, to hope for a better job in the future, or simply to get to know each other and socialize while travelling. Mature people are more actively interested in business English. Older generations are driven to learn a new language by work or life necessity, such as relocation.

All these peculiarities should be taken into account when forming groups and structuring classes. It is also obvious that pre-school and lower primary school children are not in a position to study for 90 minutes, their class time is a maximum of 60 minutes, or two half an hour classes with a short break. Attendance at these groups should be rescheduled for the afternoon and morning.

On the contrary, it is most often convenient for adults to study in the evening, after 5 p.m. Individuals usually choose their own convenient time for classes. The school should also be open on weekends in the morning. Of course, on Saturday evening there is no flow of clients, but many people are willing to devote the morning and afternoon hours to training.

The school schedule might look like this: Monday through Friday from 11 to 21, Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 14. Try to organise the work so that the groups do not interfere with each other and, at the same time, the classroom is not idle. Fill the time with individual students, small groups and so on.
